Hello

the basic knowledge you give in your wiki-entry is okay, but a lot is missing.

At first you didn´t use the given structure. Second the pivot element isn´t just a specific element in the simplex-tableau, but also the first variable you chose in various algorithmn. Therefore it is comprehensible that you specify only the pivot-selection in the simplex-algorithm.

For example there are also pivot-selection rules in the Gaussian elimination.

Possible pivot-selection rules are:

1.Column Pivot Selection

2.Row Pivot Selection

3.Total Pivot Selection

4.Diagonal Pivot Selection

Nevertheless you explained the application of the pivot selection rule in the simplex-tableau well.

Hey

All in all your entry is okay, but in our opinion it should be much more detailed. For students, who are not very close to the topic, it will be even more complicated to understand, what you want to say. I am just able to follow the first comment, since you really did not use the right structure. Furthermore, I am not absolutely sure, if all aspects of the topic are closed. Perhaps it would make sense to overwork your composition and add one or the other detail. But all in all, the main aspects of our task - explaining the pivot selection rule int the simplex-tableau - are done, and it is okay.

best regards!
